Contracts Manager - Housing
Blue Water Recruitment are seeking a Contracts Manager to work for a SME Construction Contractor based in South Wales.
They are looking to bring in a Contracts Manager that has experience within the house building sector.
The successful Contracts Manager will be responsible for the follow:
- Manage multiple projects to a high standard and in a timely manner – liaise with QS to gain a full understanding of project scope, programme and budgets in order to have control prior to commencement on site
- Attend pre-start meetings and post project review meetings
- Complete weekly site audits – programme progress and H&S reports
- Identify customer requirements and communicate to site managers / supervisors and subcontractors – any change to specification which may have a financial implication must be reported to QS for costing
- Ensure site managers are briefed on the programme, understands and follows the programme and has all information available including management of labour and materials (ensuring all materials are ordered in a timely manner to avoid delays)
- Ensure projects meet building control requirements and other regulatory bodies as required
- Ensure projects adhere to H&S policies and CDM 2015 and manage the risks – including asbestos reports and checking and approving RAMS and COSHH for each site ahead of start on site
You will need:
- Must have excellent man management skills
- IT Literate
- Be prepared to go the extra mile to keep the client happy and get the project complete on time
- Problem Solver
- Strong understanding of building regs and H&S policies and procedures
